Developing Good Study Habits for College

Success in schools requires more then doing homework and showing up to class. Success in schools requires habits of the mind that allow for project planning, time management, organization and effective note taking. No one is born knowing how to do this. Developing good study habits can be learned. Working with Dr. Barany your student can acquire the habits and discipline needed not only to succeed in high school but also to establish independence needed to survive and thrive the rigors of college academics.

In order to be successful in high school and college, students need to develop study skills and habits that go beyond memorizing class content. Developing higher level thinking skills and higher level academic performance requires:
